- *One Piece* season 2 will see Monkey D. Luffy encountering new allies and enemies.

- Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar return as the Straw Hats.

- New additions to the cast include Katey Sagal, David Dastmalchian, and Lera Abova.

The Straw Hats set sail in season 2 of Netflix's *One Piece*, which is appropriately titled *One Piece: Into the Grand Line. *

For the uninitiated, the Grand Line is a vast stretch of sea that will bring our super-powered pirates one stroke closer to the fabled hidden treasure known as One Piece. But it will also put Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), and the rest of the Straw Hats in the path of the giant whale Laboon, the imposing sea captain Smoker (Callum Kerr), and a team of assassins known as Baroque Works.

"The Grand Line is where everybody has their rulebook on how the world is supposed to work, how gravity is supposed to work, how physics is supposed to work and every one solves problems within that," Taz Skylar, who plays Straw Hats chef Sanji, previously told **. "I think the Grand Line signifies crossing that moment of no return where you enter into a world where your usual way of solving problems no longer applies and you have to start from scratch on some of the biggest problems."**

*One Piece*'s anticipated second season grows the ensemble considerably, with notable names like Katey Sagal, David Dastmalchian, and Charithra Chandran joining as beloved characters from the long-running manga on which the series is based. (And that's to say nothing of the debut of Tony Tony Chopper.)

Ready to meet the season's new allies, enemies, tyrants, and giants? Below is **'s guide to who's joining the cast of *One Piece* season 2.

Callum Kerr as Smoker

Netflix; Toei Animation Co., Ltd.

Callum Kerr is a Scottish actor known for his work on series like Apple TV's *Monarch* (2022) and Prime Video's *Wheel of Time *(2025), though we're partial to his turn as Mel's hot dad on Netflix's *Virgin River* (2024).

Kerr is also an accomplished musician, having put out an EP of country music, *Roots Under Me*, in 2025.

On *One Piece*, Kerr will chomp cigars as Smoker, a Marine captain and adversary for the Straw Hats. Smoker's home is in Loguetown, a port town that the actor said is the season's most impressive set.**

You can also catch a glimpse of Kerr cruising onto dry land atop his three-wheeled Billower Bike.**

Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha

Katey Sagal rose to fame as Peggy Bundy on the irreverent Fox sitcom *Married.. With Children* (1987–1997). She went on to join several beloved series, including *Futurama* (1999–present) and *Sons of Anarchy* (2008–2014). Her fierce turn as Gemma Teller Morrow on the latter earned her a Golden Globe.

Sagal joins *One Piece* season 2 as Dr. Kureha, an ally of the Straw Hats distinguished by a showy sartorial style that belies her age.

"I saw it by accident," Sagal told ScreenRant of *One Piece*. "We were just scrolling around and there it was. I was not familiar with the manga. And like within a month, my agents call me and say ‘Hey, we got this offer for you on this show called *One Piece*. We’re not sure what it is.’ I was like ‘Are you freaking kidding me?’"**

Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk

Across more than 35 years, Mark Harelik has guested on some of the most popular shows of all time, including *Cheers*, *Seinfeld*, *Boy Meets World, *and* The Big Bang Theory. *His big-screen work includes roles in *Election* (1999), *Jurassic Park III* (2001), and *Trumbo* (2015), among many others.

Here, Harelik plays Dr. Hiriluk, a thief-turned-doctor and colleague of Dr. Kureha. In a 2025 interview, the actor praised Dr. Hiriluk's "passion and persistence," adding that his character's laboratory "is one of the most amazing sets I've ever been on."

Clive Russell as Crocus

Netflix; Toei Animation Co., Ltd.

Clive Russell is a veteran of British series like *Happiness* (2001–2003) and *Ripper Street* (2012–2016), though U.S. audiences are more likely to know him as Brynden "Blackfish" Tully on *Game of Thrones *(2013–2016) and Lord Lovat on *Outlander* (2016).

As Crocus, Russell plays the role of a doctor, lighthouse keeper, and caretaker of Laboon.

"When I first meet Laboon, it's as a baby whale," Russell said in a behind-the-scenes clip of the season, calling the creature "a positive character" in the life of Crocus, who spends much of his time alone.**

Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday

Model-turned-actress Lera Abova made her film debut in Luc Besson's *Anna* (2019). She's since appeared in projects like the *Pitch Perfect* spinoff *Bumper in Berlin *(2022), the Netflix thriller *Exterritorial* (2025), and Ethan Coen's *Honey Don't!*.

Abova plays Miss All-Sunday, one of the several assassins of the Baroque Works organization. She can be seen terrorizing the Straw Hats in one of the season's trailers, telling Luffy, “You might think you’re unstoppable, but your friends aren’t made of rubber.”

"Branded a devil, armed with knowledge, and always three steps ahead," reads an Instagram post introducing her character. "Miss All-Sunday will no doubt change these very seas."**

Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday

Chandran costars as Miss Wednesday, a Baroque Works assassin. In a February 2026 interview, the actress promised "loads of fights" involving her character. She also discussed diving deep into the original *One Piece* manga and being moved by Miss Wednesday's "beautiful storyline."

She said, "Of course, in the expansive universe of *One Piece*, I play a small part — she is a beautiful piece in a huge puzzle that is the whole story."**

Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek

Sophia Anne Caruso's screen credits include *The School for Good and Evil* (2022) and episodes of *Strangers* and *Evil*. However, she's best known for her work on the stage, which includes originating the role of Lydia Deetz in the Broadway musical adaptation of *Beetlejuice*.

Caruso's Miss Goldenweek appears innocent, but there's danger mixed in the paint palette she holds close. Miss Goldenweek is, after all, a member of Baroque Works.

"A splash of color is all it takes for Miss Goldenweek to decide your fate," reads the caption of a *One Piece *Instagram post highlighting her character. "For your sake, do not underestimate her."**

Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine

She plays Miss Valentine, a posh member of Baroque Works who can fly in the air, Mary Poppins-style, with the help of her striped umbrella.

Jaslyn said "the harness work" was her favorite part of filming the season. "Just being able to fly so high in the sky. I literally felt like I was flying."

Early roles in Christopher Nolan's *The Dark Knight* (2008) and Denis Villeneuve's *Prisoners* (2013) helped pave the way for David Dastmalchian to become one of modern Hollywood's most striking character actors.

Dastmalchian re-teamed with Nolan for the Oscar-winning *Oppenheimer* (2023), and was also recruited by Villeneuve for* Blade Runner 2049* (2017) and *Dune* (2021). You can also catch him in *Ant-Man* (2015) and its 2018 sequel, as well as in the cult hit *Late Night With the Devil* (2023), on which he also served as an executive producer.

Next up for the in-demand actor is a starring role as baddie M. Bison in an upcoming film adaptation of *Street Fighter*.

Dastmalchian is a big fan of the *One Piece* manga*, *which he told CBR is a "big deal" at his house. "I get to be Mr. 3. It's so crazy," he said, referring to the Baroque Works assassin he plays. "What happens when the Straw Hats show up at Little Garden, and how Mr. 3 has been sent by Mr. 0 to take care of business. It's scary in a way that I don't think Season 1 was. Very violent. Incredible visuals."**

Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5

Johnson's Mr. 5, a Baroque Works member with the power to create explosions, has it out for Mackenyu's Roronoa Zoro, according to a teaser shared by the *One Piece *Instagram account.

"A swordsman with three blades has caught Mr. 5’s attention!" reads the caption. "When this Baroque Works agent shows up, things rarely stay intact."**
