Taylor Jenkins Reid marked a milestone in her author journey amid the seventh anniversary of her beloved book Daisy Jones & The Six.
“Can you believe it’s been seven years since Daisy Jones & The Six first published!?” Reid’s official Instagram account, which is run by her team, wrote on Monday, March 9. “Here’s a little flashback to 2019.”
Reid’s social media account reflected on the novel’s release with throwback photos from seven years ago. Some of the featured images showed the author, 42, signing copies of Daisy Jones & The Six at the time and Reese Witherspoon reading her book club selection while sitting on a couch beside her dog.
Elsewhere in the caption, Reid’s team reminded fans that a new special edition of Daisy Jones & The Six will be out later this year.

“And don’t forget to preorder your copy of the deluxe edition! Along with special features, it includes a brand new extended ending with Camila, Daisy and Billy,” the post continued. “The deluxe edition is available for preorder now.”
Reese’s Book Club—which chose Daisy Jones & The Six as its March 2019 pick—shared Reid’s post via Instagram Story on Monday, writing, “Can’t believe it’s been seven years since Daisy Jones & The Six was published!”
Daisy Jones & The Six was released on March 5, 2019, and became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. The novel centers around the ups and downs of a fictional 1970s rock band and its titular lead singer, unraveling the mystery behind the group’s headline-making breakup.

Four years after its debut, the novel was adapted into an Emmy-nominated Prime Video miniseries in March 2023. The show—which was produced by Witherspoon, 49—starred Riley Keough (Daisy Jones), Sam Claflin (Billy Dunne), Camila Morrone (Camila Alvarez), Suki Waterhouse (Karen Sirko), Will Harrison (Graham Dunne), Josh Whitehouse (Eddie Roundtree), Sebastian Chacon (Warren Rojas), Nabiyah Be (Simone Jackson), Tom Wright (Teddy Price) and Timothy Olyphant (Rod Reyes).
Daisy Jones & The Six has remained one of Reid’s most popular novels in the years since its release. In February, the author’s team announced the upcoming deluxe edition of the book.
“Exciting news: There will be a special deluxe edition of Daisy Jones & The Six! Featuring stenciled edges, new endpapers, an jacket with foil and a printed hardcover with a fan favorite quote. Best of all, it will have bonus content including an extended ending!” an Instagram post read at the time. “This is a limited printing, so if you want to make sure to get a copy, be sure to preorder your copy.”
In addition to Daisy Jones & The Six, Reid is the author of 2013’s Forever, Interrupted, 2014’s After I Do, 2015’s Maybe in Another Life, 2016’s One True Loves, 2018’s The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, 2021’s Malibu Rising, 2022’s Carrie Soto Is Back and 2025’s Atmosphere.
Reid confirmed in October 2025 that her next book is in the works, revealing at the Las Vegas Book Festival that she’d recently turned in a manuscript.
“To be clear, it still needs a lot of work,” she said at the time. “My editor is going to send me a 20-page letter about all the things that I need to fix and then I’ll fix them and you’ll have a book to read.”
As for the plot of the upcoming book, Reid hinted, “We’re going to go on the road with some bad girls.”
